Diving on the wreck site
The wreck of the landing craft lies on the keel. In the rear part, there is a superstructure, the shallowest point on the wreck, with a depth of 50 meters. There are square windows on both sides of the superstructure. Divers can peek inside through them. Unfortunately, there is a lot of sediment inside. The preserved door is visible on the front part of the superstructure on the port side. A small davit, covered in nets, is visible behind the superstracture. In front of superstructure, the deck is split into 5 cargo bays. Open cargo bays are mostly filled with sediment. The bow was fitted with a loading gate, which is now opened. On the bow, on a small half-deck on starboard, lies large Danforth anchor. Some nets are covering the wreck, mostly in the bow part and on the superstructure. The depth on the seabed alongside the whole wreck is 55 meters.
Story
She was most likely a river barge modified to serve as a landing craft. Possibly, she was transporting supplies for German U-boots stationed in Military Harbour in Hel. Those assumptions still await confirmation.
