SSI - Scuba Schools International

Scuba Schools International (SSI) was established in 1970 with the vision of making it possible for everyone how to dive safely. Today, SSI is the world's largest professional business-based training agency, with over 3 500 Training Centers and over 100 000 SSI Professionals in over 150 countries.

For over 50 years, SSI has provided high-quality training programs and materials for Recreational Scuba, Extended Range, Freediving, Mermaid, Swim, and Lifeguard programs from beginner to Instructor Trainer levels. CMAS - Confédération Mondiale des Activités Subaquatiques

CMAS was founded on 9-11 January 1959 year in Monaco during a meeting of numerous diving federations - including Polish - representatives. French naval officer J.Y. Cousteau was assigned as the first president of CMAS. The goal and purpose of the newly founded organization was to develop and improve sports and activities related to diving. 

PADI - Professional Association of Diving Instructors

International training agency associating Divemasters, Instructors, and Dive Centers. PADI was established in 1967 in the USA by John Croning and Ralph Erickson. Nowadays, they are the PADI president and vice president. 

PADI was the first training agency, that introduced a simple, safe, modular training system based on training standards. This made the sport popular among people. Dedication to safety, standardization of courses, and advertising the sport as an interesting way of spending free time made PADI one of the biggest training agencies in the world. PADI members issue around 1 million certifications each year. PADI has around 130 000 members and 4 300 dive centers in more than 175 countries. PADI's training materials are translated into over 20 languages.
